The Apprentice has six core competencies. Add specialized capabilities from four sources: DORG University, Accredited Faculties, Third-Party Providers, or develop your own.
How to add a competency
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the standardized interface we adopt to enable communication between the Apprentice Dorg and external competencies.
Each competency requires an MCP Manifest—a technical specification that defines functionality, authorized roles, data access, and regulatory compliance.
The Manifest will be registered in the Competency Registry to help you certify your organization’s specific compliance decisions.

Do I need technical skills?
Not for competencies already available in the University/Faculty or if you wish to integrate third-party MCPs. If you want to create new ones, development skills are required, but don’t worry—the Faculties can provide implementation support.
Can I combine different sources?
Yes. Combine University, Faculty, Third-Party, and custom competencies into a single Dorg. Each competency is independent. You will be able to verify that similar competencies do not cause confusion for your Dorg when you ask for something.
Who handles support?
Support is provided directly by the competency provider; you’re always in good hands.
Can I modify competencies?
You can customize Manifest configurations within defined limits, but not core functionalities unless you own the intellectual property.
How do I verify compliance?
This is a point of particular focus. If you download competencies from third parties or the University, always verify reliability and security levels. A competency certification service is available if desired. Regarding regulatory compliance for actions performed through the competency, the MCP Manifest allows you to adapt the competency to the specific regulations required by the Dorg’s operational context.
